What we found
A pink bathroom with a frosted shower
The bathroom had pink walls, white floor tile and a shower behind frosted sliding doors. Once the old finishes came out the floor was taken up to the joists, so the new tile went down on a sound base instead of over the old one.
The work
What the crew did, in order
Demolition
Shower, tile and fixtures removed; the floor opened to the joists.
Subfloor
New subfloor laid and the shower area prepared for tile.
Tile
Large grey tile set on the floor and shower walls with leveling clips.
Shower glass
Frameless sliding glass panels fitted to the new shower.
Vanity & lighting
Dark wood vanity, backlit mirror and recessed ceiling lights installed.
How it ended
Grey tile, clear glass and a lit mirror
The same narrow room now reads larger: one grey tile runs across the floor and into the shower, the frosted doors are replaced by clear glass, and recessed lights and a backlit mirror take the place of the old fixture. This home also had its kitchen remodeled by MGS.
