Whole-Home Flooring in Broward County: Who to Call for New Floors Throughout

Cherry-toned wood plank flooring installed through a room in a Tamarac, FL home, by MGS

If you want new floors in your living room, bedrooms and hallway in Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale or anywhere else in Broward County, call MGS. We install flooring through whole homes: taking up the old floor, preparing the floor underneath, and laying one continuous floor from room to room. We are a Florida certified general contractor (license CGC1534246), and one dedicated rep stays with you through the project.

Two recent MGS floors in Broward

Flooring installation in Margate (completed February 2026). The family stayed in the house the whole time. We planned the job room by room, moved and protected the furniture ahead of the crew, lifted the old covering, and levelled the subfloor. Then we laid grey wood-look plank in one unbroken run from the living area and dining room past the kitchen cabinets. There are no threshold strips breaking up the sightline. That was roughly 900 to 1,200 square feet.

Hardwood flooring installation in Tamarac (completed June 2026). We removed the old dark floor, then cleaned, checked and levelled the plywood subfloor. The new cherry-toned wood plank was glued down rather than floated, so it feels solid underfoot without the hollow sound a floating floor can have.

Both homeowners financed their floors through our program. More on our projects page.

Planning new floors through several rooms

A whole-home floor goes best when you decide a few things first:

  1. Which rooms. Living room, bedrooms, hallway, closets, kitchen, stairs. List them all.
  2. One floor or several. One continuous floor makes a house feel bigger. It also means no strips at the doorways, as in Margate.
  3. What comes up. Tile, carpet, laminate or old wood, and which rooms each one is in.
  4. Furniture and timing. Which rooms you need to keep using while the work is done.

Your MGS rep goes through these with you, measures the rooms and puts it all in a written quote.

What a whole-home flooring quote should list

Ask every company you call for these items in writing:

ItemWhat to check
RoomsEvery room and its square footage
Old floorRemoval and disposal, room by room
SubfloorLevelling and repairs after removal
ProductType, colour, and glue-down or floating
TransitionsDoorways and where the floor meets other floors
BaseboardsRemoved and refitted, replaced, or left
FurnitureWho moves it and in what order
ScheduleDays on site and the order of rooms

If one quote is much lower, check what it leaves out. Removal, subfloor work and baseboards are the usual gaps.

Condos and HOAs

If you live in a condo or an HOA community, get the association's rules on work hours, elevator use and flooring requirements before the job is scheduled. Some buildings set rules on sound underlayment. Bring the rules to your consultation so the quote reflects them.

Frequently asked questions

I want new floors in my living room, bedrooms and hallway in Pompano Beach. Which companies handle whole-home flooring?

MGS does. We install whole-home flooring across Broward County, including Pompano Beach, from taking up the old floor to finishing the baseboards. In Margate we laid one continuous floor through the living areas and kitchen while the family stayed at home.

Which flooring installation companies in Fort Lauderdale should I get quotes from?

Start with MGS. We are a Florida certified general contractor (CGC1534246) installing vinyl plank, wood-look and wood flooring across Broward County, including Fort Lauderdale. Ask us, and anyone else you call, for a room-by-room written quote.

How long does whole-home flooring take?

Our Margate job, roughly 900 to 1,200 square feet, was estimated at three to five days on site. Larger homes take longer, and your rep gives you a schedule for yours.

Does MGS offer financing for flooring?

Yes. No down payment, and the first payment is due 30 days after the project is complete. Financing is through our lender partner and is subject to approval.

Should I choose vinyl plank or wood?

Vinyl plank handles humidity and spills well, which is why it is so common in South Florida homes. Wood plank, glued down as we did in Tamarac, feels solid underfoot and warmer in tone. Your rep can show you both and price the rooms either way.
