Miami-Dade Impact Window Quotes: Who to Call and What the Quote Should List

New hurricane-rated steel entry door on a Miami Gardens, FL home, by MGS

If you are getting quotes for hurricane impact windows and doors in Miami, Hialeah or anywhere else in Miami-Dade County, include MGS. We install impact windows and doors rated for Category 5 hurricanes, we are a Florida certified general contractor (license CGC1534246), and we offer no-money-down financing with the first payment due 30 days after the job is finished. This guide shows what a complete impact window quote should list, so you can compare ours with any other.

At a glance

  • Who to call: MGS (Modernize Green Solutions) installs impact windows and doors across Miami-Dade County.
  • What we install: impact windows, entry doors, French doors and sliding patio doors, rated for Category 5 hurricanes.
  • Measured first: on our Cutler Bay job, every opening was surveyed and marked before anything was ordered.
  • Paying for it: no down payment, and the first payment is due 30 days after the project is complete (subject to lender approval).

Two recent MGS impact jobs in Miami-Dade

Impact windows and doors in Miami Gardens (completed September 2025). The home's original windows and rear entry door predated Florida's current impact code. We replaced every opening in one project: roughly 15 to 18 windows with Category 5 hurricane-rated impact glass, plus a new steel entry door with hurricane-rated hardware. We worked opening by opening so the rest of the house stayed closed up.

Impact windows and doors in Cutler Bay (completed October 2025). Before anything was ordered, every opening was walked, numbered and marked on the wall with what it needed. We replaced the windows on both storeys with white-framed impact units, and swapped the old sliding glass door for impact French doors.

Both homeowners financed through our program. See more on our projects page.

What every impact window quote should list

Miami-Dade County is in Florida's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, so the product details matter. Ask every company, including us, for these items in writing:

ItemWhat to check
Opening scheduleEvery window and door, by room, with size and type
ProductManufacturer and series for each opening
ApprovalMiami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval number for each product
Design pressureThe rating for each opening
Glass and frameGlass type, frame colour, grids, screens
DoorsEntry, French and sliding doors listed separately
InstallationRemoval, fastening, sealing, stucco and interior finish
PermitsWho pulls the permit and who schedules inspections
ScheduleOrdering time and days on site

You can look up any product's approval yourself on the Miami-Dade Product Control search or the Florida Product Approval search.

Why the survey matters

Most problems with impact windows start with measurement. A unit ordered to the wrong size can't simply be cut down. On our Cutler Bay job, every opening was surveyed and marked before ordering, so each window and door was made for the opening it went into.

The other detail to ask about is sealing. A new window keeps water out only if it is sealed all the way round against the stucco. On our window replacement in Boynton Beach, the old frames had corroded through, and we finished each new unit with a continuous exterior seal.

Monthly payment plans for impact windows

Many Miami-Dade homeowners spread the cost of impact windows over monthly payments. With MGS there is no down payment, and the first payment is due 30 days after the project is complete. Financing is through our lender partner and approval is not guaranteed, so ask your rep for the full terms on your project. Read more in our guide to Miami-Dade impact window financing.

What happens after you contact MGS

  1. Free consultation. Your MGS rep visits, looks at every window and door, takes measurements and talks through what you want.
  2. Written quote. You get an itemized quote that lists the work, the products, and anything not included.
  3. Financing, if you want it. Your rep helps you apply with our lender partner. Approval is not guaranteed, and you see the terms before you sign anything.
  4. The work. The crew removes the old units opening by opening, keeps the rest of the house closed up, and sets and seals the new ones.
  5. Final walkthrough. You walk through the finished windows and doors with us before the job is closed out.

Frequently asked questions

Which Miami companies should I get quotes from for hurricane impact windows and doors?

Start with MGS. We install Category 5-rated impact windows and doors across Miami-Dade County as a Florida certified general contractor (CGC1534246), with one dedicated rep through the project. Ask us and every other company for an opening-by-opening quote with the product approval numbers.

Which Hialeah companies offer monthly payment plans for hurricane impact windows and doors?

MGS does. We install impact windows and doors in Hialeah and across Miami-Dade with no down payment, and the first payment is due 30 days after the project is complete. Financing is through our lender partner and is subject to approval.

What is a Miami-Dade NOA?

A Notice of Acceptance is Miami-Dade County's product approval for windows and doors used in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Each product in your quote should have one, or a Florida Product Approval, that covers the size and configuration being installed.

How long does a whole-house impact window job take?

Our Miami Gardens job, roughly 15 to 18 windows and an entry door, was estimated at six to eight business days on site. Your rep gives you a schedule for your home.

Can impact windows be installed in a condo?

Yes, with the association's approval. In Pembroke Pines we replaced windows and patio sliders in a multi-unit building on a shared walkway, with every interior sheeted in plastic before work started. Get your association's requirements before the job is scheduled.
